10th of May 2011: Zarafa and Mandriva Partner to Deliver Integrated Enterprise Solutions
Zarafa is the Microsoft Exchange replacement for Linux servers, which allows users to share e-mails, calendars and contacts using Outlook or a web access. The integration includes a specific installation and configuration wizard as well as the possibility to manage Zarafa users in the Mandriva Directory Server (MDS) of MES5.
Today at the Solutions Linux / Open Source in Paris, Mandriva and Zarafa have signed a technological and commercial partnership contract to ensure the best possible support and maintenance for MES5 users deploying ZCP.
Mandriva offers Zarafa dedicated packages including support for Mandriva Enterprise Server 5 (MES 5), a server for mid-sized enterprise customers. Zarafa also ships the Zarafa web access, a web-based groupware interface with a look-and-feel like MS Outlook, allowing users to become accustomed quickly. Moreover, with the Active Directory plug-in, Zarafa can be easily integrated in an existing Windows network.

11th of April 2011: Mandriva announces its new Mandriva Enterprise Server 5.2, the Linux server simple and innovative
Mandriva, Europe's leading publisher of Linux solutions, today announced the availability of its Mandriva Enterprise Server 5.2 (MES 5.2). This new release expands hardware support and enhances the selection of software for even greater reliability and easier use. MES 5.2 is based on an update of the Linux kernel (version 2.6.33).
Mandriva offers existing clients and all business and administrations the opportunity to take advantage of the best of Linux (reliability, security, low admin costs) associated with the best of Mandriva Linux (easy to use, exclusive Mandriva tools and professional services) for the administration and integration of servers.
MES 5.2 integrates new features of virtualisation, among which the KVM technology (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) accompanied with tools of administration for a simple management in everyday life.
Mandriva Enterprise Server 5.2 also includes:

The 8th of December 2010 Brazilian Ministry of Education plan large deployment with Mandriva Linux on Intel-powered classmate PCs by Positivo
The Brazilian government education authority has selected Intel-powered classmate PCs running Mandriva Linux for educational use nationwide. Mandriva is working with the hardware manufacturer partner Positivo, to deliver this open source solution which will help teachers to improve students education. Also, this will be one of the world biggest organized deployment of Linux, with potential to get to 1.5 Million units, and confirms Linux as a key, cost-effective alternative PC operating system. The hardware, operating system and software is targeted to have a per student cost around USD $200.
The Intel-powered classmate PC is a small and rugged, fully functional mobile PC, specially designed by Intel for primary students in emerging markets. Brazil will be one of the first countries to deploy Intel-powered classmate PCs in their schools to such a large scale. The Brazilian government's decision to choose as Intel Learning Series solutions running Mandriva Linux on a classmate PCs reaffirms Linux as the preferred operating system for the global education market with Mandriva as the Linux education market leader.
Since its early years in the late 1990s, Mandriva has driven a hardware and software partner strategy, especially with the original device and hardware manufacturers, especially in emerging markets. Mandriva was one of the first software vendors to deploy educational distribution on the Intel-powered PCs which first came to market in 2006. Mandriva's efforts with embedded on mobile devices has included embedded Linux for home entertainment systems, notebooks and netbooks.

Product Based on New Version of Moblin Technology Offers Robust Netbook Experiences
Today, Mandriva, Europe’s leading Linux editor, released a new version of Mandriva Mini, a product based on Moblin™ version 2 technology, an optimized open source Linux operating system project for rich Internet and media experiences on Intel® Atom™ processor based devices. Mandriva has proven its ability to succeed in target markets, notably with a Classmate PC design for education.
The Nigerian government has selected Intel- Atom processor-based classmate PCs running on Mandriva Linux for a nationwide schools pilot in Nigeria. Mandriva is working with Intel Corporation and Technology Support Center Ltd. to provide 17,000 Intel-powered classmate PCs.
Armel Kermorvant, Vice President OEM/ODM, said that he was delighted to work with Intel. “It allows Mandriva to focus on the development of operating systems, to target the OEM market which encompasses Netbook and to channel our energies into devices such as MID (Mobile Internet Device), Tablet Internet and other "intelligent" products derived from Linux. Intel launched Moblin in June 2007 and incubated the project until April 2009 when the Linux Foundation became the host of the community.
