What is BitTorrent?

Some of our downloads are available through two means: direct download (HTTP or FTP) or BitTorrent.

BitTorrent is a protocol that enables every downloader to safely share and distribute the very same file they are downloading with other people. The more peopl use it, the faster the file distribution.

To use these special links, you will need a BitTorrent client; if you haven’t one installed already, you may check the BitTorrent client for Linux, Mac OS X and Windows, or Transmission for Linux/Unix and Mac OS X.
