Ever since its creation, Mandriva has been involved with schools and universities, providing educational tools and services for the benefit of instructors and students alike.

Mandriva Academia

The Academia programme is a simple solution to meet the needs of universities, school organisations and research centres.

It is an economical method of deploying Mandriva Linux on an entire site. The programme lasts one year and covers the "home" version of Mandriva Linux distributed during that period.

Mandriva Edutice

The latest educational server — Edutice is a set of programs, exercises and games that are accessible to an entire class under the supervision of a teacher.

This is a very flexible product, which lets the teacher authorise access to certain applications only, and to freeze the screen when pupils need to stop and listen.

Mandriva digital schoolbag

This set of software packages can be installed on any distribution, including Edutice, and is designed to introduce pupils to the new information and communication technologies.

Mandriva Flash

USB key containing a Mandriva distribution and on which a digital schoolbag can be installed.

This means that pupils can use it in class and at home. The available memory on the key lets them back up all their work.
